If you are learning English as a second language, you can follow several tips that will help you improve your English. The first tip is to enroll yourself in a class to help you improve your English. It helps if a person whose first language is English teaches this class.
In the US, many are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in order to work in different types of companies, or to continue learning at the college level. If you don’t do great on the test the first time, that is fine. You can retake the test after taking more English as a second language (ESL) courses.
If you are living in an English speaking country, you have many chances to improve your English outside of class. For example, if you have children learning English at school, you can improve your English by talking in English to them. Also rent movies that are in English, and try to watch them without subtitles. It can also help to watch foreign films that have subtitles in English, so you have to read the words to understand the film. Watching television in English helps improve your English too.

In orer to improve your english, you need to firstly figure out what are you strengths and weaknesses therefore you can imporve your english effectively. I guess most people would have problems with listening as teachers in school always focus on grammar. So in order to improve listening you need to listen to tapes, go to english corners and listen to english radio like capital FM. Furthermore improving speaking simply just require you to speak to people therefore your english accents would be much better. Finally writing i think writing is alot easier in comparison to listening as you are taught with sample sentences. so you can write a daily diary about your day in english or something. Overall in order to improve english just do things in english. get the second language into your life. (I hope that helped)

English is one of my best subjects .But at the very beginning(在最开始的时候), listening seemed very difficult for me. So I have been doing a lot of listening practice, such as listening to
tapes,watching English TV programs,videos. And I found it really helped a lot. In fact,
there are some more helpful ways to learn English well. For example, listening, singing
English songs and you can join an English club or find a pen pal from
English-speaking countries on the Internet. I believe that nothing is impossible if you put your
heart into it.
