如果用protection,则应该用under---under one’s protection.在…的保护下.

两个句子同样的意思,只不过第一个句子把这种保护比喻成坚硬的盾牌；第二个没有加比喻而直接表明：大学生已经在家长、学校以及中国教育制度的保护下生活了20年了.

可以用have been covered of sheilds of families 我是一名高中老师，

我个人认为没有问题。这里的这个sheild并不是真实的“盾”，而是抽象意义，意为保护。

用 under 一点毛病没有
这个under就是在 - - - 之下的意思，under the sheilds 在- - -的保护之下，正确。

把shields换成protection正式些

as well as这里用的很突兀，也不好解释，建议改成as is the Chinese education sysytem。
